Welcome to Yeldham Transport Museum

Yeldham Transport Museum is owned by a group from the Essex area, who are dedicated to preserving and restoring old trains, buses and coaches.

The Yeldham Transort Museums venue facility on the Hunnable Industrial Estate, Great Yeldham, Essex, consists of an ex 2nd WW aircraft hanger which was moved there in 1959 from RAF Biggin Hill when it was declared surplus to military requirements.

The building was moved and became a major part of the Whitlock’s complex where many large earth moving vehicles were constructed. Car breakers recently used it before it became vacant. It then stood empty until being taken over by John Russell who had been seeking a large workshop for his Victorian railway carriage restoration activities.
